Casa di Francesca offers two unique kinds of Murano glass in its collection; both the classic or traditional style, which is as old as the history of Murano itself, and the Murrine style. Murrine is different in that it consists of unique patterns that are formed by the artisans organizing rods in bouquets. These rods are put into the furnace where they meld together creating an exquisite design. These rods can then be used with molds and shapes of different sizes, creating a beautiful piece of artwork. This technique assures that no two designs are ever the same.
